At Pitti Lubiam presents the new collection Luigi Bianchi Mantova FW14
Born from a constant, extensive research on high-quality materials, the new Luigi Bianchi Mantova FW2014 collection is the product of the selection of a wide range of tailoring fabrics. Done in collaboration with the best Italian weavers, the collection is characterized by different yet always impeccable weights. The fabrics are perfectly treated to realize the full potential of the Made to Measure service.
The FW14 collection introduces the following novelties: - Jacquard eclectic designs and optical effects, for a vintage 50’s and 60’s appeal; developed on light and modern weights; - Eye-catching designs and patterns– check, madras, Prince of Wales, damier - especially on suits, also available with vest; - Rich, wavy textures, pleasant to both sight and touch; an exploration of the world of “faux-solids”, micro-designs and weaving. Different colours are mixed to give depth to the fabric; - Bouclé threads give the fabric a sense of movement by adding a tri-dimensional effect on coats and jackets, even when printed. This trend is also available in the “frisé/crinkle” variant option - perfect for suits as well; - The evolution of the garment dyed: wools prevails over cotton – even if pure cotton and cotton cashmere blends are also available. The focus is on eye-catching knit effects and shuttled weavings; - Brightly-coloured blazers, enriched by printed, contrasted undercollars; - Fabrics are ideal for both very warm, yet light coats, and jackets, even with double-faced options. In terms of fits and styles, the novelties regard especially the lapel, which is larger, on both classic and young fits; a decisive change affects the waistline of two-buttoned jackets, which is lowered by 2 cm to highlight the figure. The vest is once again the key piece of the season, comfortable and versatile, substituting the sweater and perfectly complementing the suit or the jacket.
